Events:

ACTO plans and executes events all year long to earn consistent funding for our facility. We are also very grateful to the civic organizations that raise funds on our behalf.  Here are just a few of the events we have enjoyed or are planning.

Elvis Is In The Building:  Every February, our annual “Elvis Is In The Building” is one of our most popular events. Held in the Mathis City Auditorium, this event includes dinner and a show – and Elvis!  However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic "Elvis" had to postponed till August 28, 2021 and it will only be the show.  We will not have the smoked pulled pork dinner this year.

Longest Day of the Year for Alzheimer's: Canceled due to Covid-19.  Our prayer is to be able to have it again in June 2022.

Teriyaki Sandwich Sale:  May 7th, the Greater Valdosta United Way held the annual Sandwich Sale that aids funding to ACTO and the other 19 Valdosta agencies. This year ACTO sold 144 sandwich meals and was given $5.00 for each one we sold.  What a blessing!

Dance: We are honored to have "Danny and the Jets" play for us. The dance will be held October 9, 2021 at 1650 River Street. This is the Valdosta Masonic Lodge and is right across from Nu-Smile Dentistry.

Clay Shoot Fundraiser: This event will be held Oct. 30th at Southwind Sporting Clays. A four person team will be $400.00. Registration is at 8:30am and start at 9:30am.  Lunch is provided in the entry fee.  A gun will be raffled, door prizes given and mulligans offered.

Annual Bowling Tournament:  This event will be held Sept.17th at Jac's Lanes on Connell Road.

A lane can be sponsored for $250.00 or a 5 person team can bowl for $250.00.  Please contact Ann at (229)563-2435 for details or to register.  For safety reasons we are only booking 10 lanes and using every other lane for social distancing.  We will have a 50/50 drawing and door prizes.

ACTO is fortunate to be supported by the Valdosta-Lowndes county community. Your generous gifts and donations keep us going.  All donations are tax deductible.
